Welcome

At 57 I began seeing myself as an artist. Having been a left brained programmer for 25 years, the right side of my brain was eager for the challenge. Everyday, my right brain wants to be let out and set free to create. I’ve grown very passionate about photography and art and self-expression. I’m passionate about the images I craft.

Perhaps due to circumstance, I think of myself as a structural photographer. My eye is very attracted to geometric shapes and the enormous size of skyscrapers. When photographing large buildings, I want to give them personality. I see humor, logic and strength in buildings. At times I feel like we have a brief conversation. Perhaps I’m a building whisperer.

To me a photographic shoot is an adventure. I make little adventures of my morning train ride to work, my short walk to the office, my time wandering among the giant towers of downtown Denver at lunch and finally the journey back to home as evening approaches. The environs that encompass my life make up 90 percent of what I capture. Denver is a city experiencing a growth spurt and I want to photograph it all.

I reside just north of Denver Colorado in the suburb of Westminster. Westminster and our lovely neighbor, Boulder Colorado, are also frequent subjects of mine. My wife, who is a college student, entertainer and general bad ass, is also a favorite subject for me as are all of our family and friends.
